Edward and Marjory's overriding objective is to produce outstanding Pinot Noir, aiming to share their love of the variety with others.

All Ma Maison wines are hand-crafted by winemaker Wendy Potts from grapes grown on the eight-acre vineyard. All grapes are hand-harvested and Wendy’s winemaking process is very much about minimal interference, allowing the unique terroir to shine through in each wine. Very little fining or filtration is used during the winemaking process. The aim is to produce elegant, complex and balanced Pinot Noir that cellars well, its underlying power meaning it develops beautifully with bottle age. Their Pinot Noir is very much a reflection of the terroir of their Ma Maison Vineyard.

If the grapes are deemed not good enough by the Ma Maison team then they are not picked and no wine is made from that vintage. This happened in 2012 when a very cool spring and consistent rain during the critical ripening period resulted in poor fruit quality, meaning no wine was made that year.

Each vintage the Ma Maison 'Special Cuvee' is named in honour of a family member. Interestingly, Edward and Marjory say they have observed similarities in the style of wine to the personality of the family member that the wine has been named after.

This is Ma Maison's flagship wine sold in all markets around the world. It is a refined style with soft tannins, testament to the purity of fruit and minimal handling.

Made from the Mendoza clone this is a limited release Chardonnay. A beautifully balanced wine with forward fruit flavours complemented by oak maturation.

Ma Maison has produced a number of the ‘Special Cuvee’ blends since 2008.

An elegant wine which is also a bit sassy. Phoneix is Marjory's Chinese name and this wine perfectly matches her personality and style.

This wine is very forward and vibrant with integrity and backbone - this also describes youngest grandchild Tristan perfectly.

This is a very reserved style, fine and elegant. Its namesake, grandson Fletcher, initially appears quiet, but has hidden depths, just like the wine.

A big wine, but slightly more reserved in style than the ‘07 Sabrina, as is the sociable Saffron, who’s a little quieter than her older cousin Sabrina. Made from a single clone (C/5).

A big, big wine from a single clone (10/5). Edward and Marjory's eldest grandchild, Sabrina, loves socialising and is an upfront character.
